The Beat Repeat is the third effect we have looked at in our free Ableton Live Audio Effects tutorial series.
The Beat Repeat device is capable of a wide variety of effects, from subtle glitches through to full on crazy audio stutters. At small grid settings it can also create a range of textures.
In this Ableton Live Tutorial we will examine each of the parameters in detail to understand exactly what the controls are doing. The Beat Repeat can be quite daunting to new users and this video will hopefully clear up any initial confusion.
We have created a second Ableton Live Tutorial covering practical examples with Beat Repeat and this is available for free on our Facebook page. The video looks at ways to create stereo ghost notes on a hi-hat pattern and some glitch repeats for a small break down in a progressive house track.
The next Ableton Live tutorial will cover the Chorus effect.
